• Due to the sometimes large nature of wedding/event parties there are a few precautions we have to take...For all event services we will need a credit card to hold the appointment/s, cancellations must be made one week prior to the scheduled appointment/s. If you cancel with less than one weeks notice we will charge the card on file for 50% of the cost of the scheduled services. 48 hours prior to the day of the event the card on file will be charged for all services booked for the day of the event, any additional services provided that day will be taken care of at that time.   Keratin Q & A

  1. Why does the treatment cost so much?
     The treatment process is time consuming, taking approximately 3 hours (give or take depending on the length and thickness of your hair), and involving several steps. Also, it LASTS! Clients will see results ranging from 3-6 months depending on your shampoo cycle.
  2. Does the treatment damage your hair?
     We can proudly say “No”! This treatment is a protein based, chemical free product that actually repairs and strengthens your hair inside and out.
  3. How does it work?
     First the hair is washed with clarifying shampoo and blown dry, the product is applied, then dried again. The hair is then professionally flat ironed, sealing in the complex making hair stronger, shinier and smoother.
  4. Do you need to do anything to prep your hair before your appointment?
     Nope, we’ll take care of you from start to finish.
  5. Will you get your curl back?
     Yes! Think of this as “semi”-permanent, after 3-6 months as the bond wears down, your hair will start to retur to its natural texture. At which time you may, or may not, decide to continue performing the treatment on your hair.
  6. Can you use hair color in conjunction with this treatment?
     Yes. Hair colored prior to getting the treatment done will actually be sealed in extended its longevity. And there are no adverse affects to coloring your hair after the keratin has set in your hair.
  7. Is there anything you can’t do with your hair after getting the treatment?
     There are a couple of “don’ts” for the first few days after the treatment while the keratin sets and develops… for the first 4 days you cannot:
     • wash your hair
     • tie your hair into a pony tail or braid
     • use hair clips, bobby pins or hair bands
     • sweat excessively
     • swim
  8. Is there anything you must do to ensure the longevity of the treatment?
     Yes. Use shampoos and conditioners that are sodium chloride free: preferably Aveda Shampure or Aveda Color Conserve.
